| Abstract: | The mass spectra of cis-trans isomeric aroylaziridines are presented. Attempts to extend the method for distinguishing between cis and trans isomers previously established for aroylazetidines are described and the results rationalized. A simple fission of the 1-alkylnitrogen bond is described and detailed fragmentation mechanisms are presented and discussed. |
