Abstract:The carbon deposition on the surface of Pt V 2O 5/HM catalyst was studied by temperature programmed oxidation (TPO) and the poisoning experiment by probe melecule (C 5H 5N, CS 2, Pb(C 2H 5) 4). The results showed that the lower temperature peak (620 K) stands chiefly for the carbon deposition on acidic sites (V 2O 5), the carbon deposition is carried out chiefly in polymerization mechanism, contains more hydrogen and is burned up easily; the higher temperature peak (820 K) stands chiefly for carbon deposition on Pt sites, the carbon deposition is carried out chiefly in dehydrogenation mechanism, contains less hydrogen and is burned up hardly. According to the results, K 2O is selected as the additive to prevent carbon deposition on Pt V 2O 5/HM catalyst.
