Abstract:A rapid,sensitive,simple and convenient method for the determination of sulfur in foods and vegetables by high frequency induction combustion-infrared absorption photometry is reported. Water in samples can be eliminated by baking and roasting. Tungsten and tin granules were used as flux and covered the sample. The relative standard deviation is less than 1.9%. The recoveries are better than 97%.
