| Abstract: | 2-Diphenylphosphinobenzaldehyde 2-quinolinylhydrazone (HL) and its nickel(II) complex Ni(L)(CH3COO)] were synthesized. The structure of the complex was determined by X-ray diffraction. The nickel ion in the molecule of the complex has a square PNN’O donor environment. Owing to C-H...O intermolecular hydrogen bonds, centrosymmetric dimers are formed in the crystal. |
