Spiro[4-azafluorenepyrazolenines] and their thermal rearrangement to pyrazoloazaphenanthrenes

Reaction of 9-diazo-4-azafluorene with phenylacetylene gives spiro[4-azafluorene-9,3-pyrazolenines], isomeric according to the position of the substituent in the pyrazolenine ring. Their thermal rearrangement to pyrazolo-4-azaphenanthrenes that are isomeric according to ring linkage and position of the substituent in the pyrazole ring has been studied.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 11, pp. 1522–1525.
