Abstract: | Size dependent crystal growth kinetic can be measured indirectly in Mixed Suspension Mixed Product Removal Crystallizer by means of differential number balance of crystal product population. Some simple formula relating growth rate G and crystal size L is needed for statistical processing of scattered experimental crystal size distribution data. The new exponential formula has been proposed which provides physically realizable values of G at extreme size values. The formula is simple enough to yield analytic solution of the number balance. Methods of estimation of three formula parameters and nucleation rate and examples of experimental data fitting have been presented as well. |
