Abstract: | 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopic studies of the orthorhombic compound FeCrP, complemented with magnetization measurements, have been undertaken. The results indicate that FeCrP is an antiferromagnet with a Néel temperature of 265 K. The saturation magnetic hyperfine field present at the Fe nuclei is found to be only 1.0 T. Possible antiferromagnetic structures are discussed as well as different contributions to the magnetic interaction. |
