An observation on vibrational behaviour of undoped and doped poly(aniline) prepared by electrochemical polymerisation of aniline

Polyaniline has been prepared by electrochemical oxidation of aniline in an acidic medium. The pure polymer has been doped with iodine. The conductivity of the doped sample shows an increase of four order of magnitude than that of the undoped one. The characteristic observations made in the i.r. and Raman spectra have been discussed.
