Beam propagation analysis of a nonlinear dual-channel directional coupler

Abstract:The dynamics of a nonlinear dual-channel directional coupler are studied numerically using a two-dimensional beam propagation method. The results are in good agreement with those of Jensen, which were based on the analytical solution of a pair of coupled-mode equations.
