Abstract: | Aqueous solutions of the industrially important chelating agent N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-hydroxypropyl)ethylenediamine exhibit basic properties. The proton dissociation constants were determined to be 8.99 ± 0.04 (pK1) and 4.30 ± 0.04 (pK2) by potentiometric titration at 25° in 0.15M sodium chloride. |
