| Abstract: | Effect of thermal neutron irradiation of metallic glasses Fe78Si9B13 and Fe78Si8B14 has been studied using Mossbauer spectroscopy. The surfaces of the two specimens are found to behave very differently under irradiation. The difference may be attributed to the presence of a thin oxide layer at the surface of as-prepared Fe78Si9B13. |
