Abstract:
The infrared photon emission from metal surfaces stimulated by the impact of low-energy electrons of kinetic energies between 0–10 eV has been measured. The results are presented as isochromat spectra from clean Ag and Na surfaces under different temperatures. Some IR emission features have been associated tentatively with inverse photoemission processes.
