| Abstract: | Systems of broad bands have been observed in the absorption and laser-induced emission spectra of the GeTe molecule in solid argon and krypton matrices. Hitherto unreported electronic states have been characterized: a, ν00 = 15 500 cm?1; B, ν00 = 20 070, ωe = 190 cm?1; C, ν00 = 23 500, ωe = 270 cm?1. Higher energy states are also reported as well as an emission system in the red which is probably due to the Ge2Te2. |
