| Abstract: | In a series of papers the last two authors have obtained a complete characterization of those finite-dimensional subspaces G of Ca,b] for which there exists a continuous selection for the metric projection onto G. By showing that all continuous selections constructed there are even pointwise-Lipschitz-continuous and quasi-linear, we get a complete characterization concerning selections for the metric projection with this stronger property. |
