Abstract: | This paper concerns an easy handling procedure in adjusting for the coaxiality on the biprism experiment. In the procedure, the light slit and eye lens are first adjusted to a level line, and then all parts of the experimental setup can be successively adjusted to reach the exact coaxiality quite fast.As a result, the interference fringes of light can be readily observed by moving the biprism and/or the eye lens freely on the optical bench. Also all measurements are done by displacement so that students can gain an insight into the rectilinear propagation and the interference phenomenon of light in the experiment. |
