| Abstract: | A new type of discharge tube for high-power argon-ion lasers constructed of a segmented metal-ceramic compound system is described.
Up to date, the system has been operating for 1500 h without failure. The maximum cw output is 140 W, limited by the destruction
of the mirrors. |
