| Abstract: | Ni(PH3)n species (where n = 1–4) were obtained by a co-condensation reaction of nickel vapour with phosphine, and stabilized at a low temperature in argon matrices. Infrared spectra in the Ni-P stretching vibration region provided evidence for their formation. Solid Ni(PH3)4 was isolated after removal of excess PH3. |
