| Abstract: | Levoglucosenone (a chiral α,β-unsaturated ketone derivative of cellulose) underwent stereoselective cyclopropanation with sulfonium ylides to form chiral trisubstituted cyclopropanes annulated with the carbohydrate moiety in high yields. |
