Duplex Numbers, Diffusion Systems, and Generalized Quantum Mechanics

We show that the relation between theSchrodinger equation and diffusion processes has analgebraic nature and can be revealed via the structureof duplex numbers. This helps to clarifythat quantum mechanics cannot be reduced to diffusion theory. Also, ageneralized version of quantum mechanics where C isreplaced by a normed algebra with a unit isproposed.
