Abstract:The first synthesis of differentially protected (2S,4S)-2,4-diaminoglutaric acids 2 and 3 suitable for incorporation into peptides has been accomplished in a completely stereospecific manner in seven steps (overall yield 25–28%) from tert-butyl (2S,4S)-4-azido-N-tert-butoxycarbonylprolinate 5.
