| Abstract: | Treatment of (Z)-trimethylsilyl enol ethers with dibutylboryl trifluoromethanesulfonate followed by removal of trimethylsilyl triflate generated and addition of aldehydes affords the corresponding erythro aldols with almost complete stereo- and regio-selectivities. |
