Abstract: | Yield surfaces with different probabilities of the appearance of plastic strains are obtained for a composite material reinforced in one and two directions. These surfaces (local yield surface density) are obtained using the local strains theory and on the assumption of the inextensibility of the composition material in the directions of reinforcement. The theoretically obtained limit surfaces are shown to be in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.Institute of Polymer Mechanics, Academy of Sciences of the Latvian SSR, Riga.
