| Abstract: | Cyclic tin chalcogen compounds with tintin bonds (t-Bu2Sn)3Y2 (Y S, Se, Te) have been prepared starting with (t-Bu2Sn)4 or (t-Bu2SnY)2. X-Ray analysis shows planar five-membered tin-sulfur rings and tin-selenium rings. The structure of the tellurium compound consists of puckered molecules with C2 symmetry and a somewhat shorter tintin bond. |
