| Abstract: | The synthesis of a series of tetraorganotin(IV) compounds containing selectively the 2-thienyl, 3-thienyl, 5-methyl-2-thienyl, 5-t-butyl-2-thienyl, 4-methyl-2-thienyl and 3-(2-pyridyl)-2-thienyl groups [L], of formula R4-nSn[L]n (R = Ph, p-tolyl, Me, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl; n = 1–4) is reported. Features of structural interest deduced from 119mSn Mössbauer and NMR (13C and 119Sn modes) spectra are considered. |
