| Abstract: | Using the generalised Gruneisen theory in the quasiharmonic approximation, the low and high temperature limiting values of the generalised Gruneisen parameters have been computed from the measured second-and calculated third-order elastic constants. The relevance of these calculations to the thermal expansion of sodium nitrate is discussed. |
