Excitation energies of the giant Gamow-Teller resonance states

The energy difference between the giant Gamow-Teller resonance state and the isobaric analog state is estimated by calculating the energy-weighted and the non-energy-weighted sum of the strengths. The observed energy systematics is well reproduced in a simple model assuming κ_στ ≈ 28 MeV.
