Measurement of the φ→π+π branching ratio

Abstract:The branching ratio of the φπ+π? decay mode Bφππ = (1.9?0.8+1.0) × 10?4 was measured by the interference in the reaction e+e?π+π?. The interference phase ψ = ?42° ± 13°. The value of χ2 for Bφππ = 0 is 17.8 units larger than that for the optimal Bφππ, e.g.Bφππ = 0 lies outside of the four standard deviation confidence interval.
