On the theory of cylindrical resonators

This paper contains an introduction to the methods of operator-valued functions for solving some non-linear eigenvalue problems of the electrodynamics of guided waves. One simple example of the problem of fundamental frequencies for the rectangular-slot resonator is considered that gives an opportunity to follow all the steps and features of this technique.
