Abstract: | The narrow line-width of Fourier transform Raman spectroscopy has been utilized to produce spectra of various simple thiosulphates. The accuracy of the technique has enabled us to show wide frequency shifts and splitting from counter ion to counter ion, and has thrown doubt on the use of vibrational spectra to indicate ion interactions. |
