Abstract:This paper reviews some of the differences between dispersive and Fourier transform (FT) Raman spectroscopy with the goal of highlighting some of the advantages and disadvantages of FT-Raman spectroscopy. In particular, the use of filters, Connes advantage, trading rules and the size of the multiplex and throughput advantages are discussed.
