| Abstract: | This communication describes the chemoselective metal-free reduction of tertiary amides to the corresponding amines. Hantzsch ester is used as a mild reducing agent for the reduction of trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride activated amides providing the tertiary amines with high functional group tolerance. |
