Reactions of Bis(phenylethynyl)ytterbium with Trimethylsilicon,Triphenylgermanium, and Triphenyltin Chlorides

Abstract:	The ytterbium phenylethynyl compound (PhCC)₂Yb(THF)₄ reacts with trimethylsilicon, triphenylgermanium, and triphenyltin chloride in tetrahydrofuran (THF) at room temperature to give the corresponding cross-coupling products: phenylethynylytterbium chloride PhCCYbCl(THF)₂ and ytterbium chloride YbCl₂(THF)₂.
