Acoustic diffraction by an oscillating strip

Abstract:The problem of diffraction of a plane acoustic wave from an oscillating rigid strip is studied. The problem is solved by using the temporal and spatial integral transform and the Wiener-Hopf technique. The scattered field in the far zone is determined by the method of steepest descent. The significance of the present analysis is that it recovered the results when a strip is widened to a half plane. Graphical results for the diffraction problem have also been presented.
