Abstract: | Variations in magnetic susceptibility at air-water interfaces can result in inhomogeneous broadening of the NMR line. By special asymmetrical imaging techniques, originally developed for lung imaging, images can be formed of only those molecules that experience this inhomogeneous broadening. The basic concepts and latest developments in inhomogeneous-broadening-imaging techniques are described. Potential industrial applications are also discussed. |
