| Abstract: | Interchain coupling in polydiacetylene is investigated by considering two parallel chains and taking into account a hopping of π electrorls from one chain to the other. The correction in energy and the change of polaronic bioding energy resulting from interchain coupling are calculated by using Green's function, and the results are compared with experimental data. |
