Abstract: | Fe3O4@SiO2/Schiff base complex of metal ions catalyzed the reaction between phenylene-1,2-diamines and 1,2-diketones to produce quinoxalines in aqueous media at room temperature. This eco-friendly method provides several advantages such as mild reaction conditions, good to excellent yields, simple work-up, and nanocatalyst stability. Also, nanocatalyst can be simply recovered by a magnetic field and reused for at least five successive reactions. |
