Abstract:	In this paper we study the vertex (intertwining) operators for certain infinite dimensional representations of $U_{q,\alpha } \left( {\widehat{sl_2 }} \right)$ , which is a central extension of $U_q \left( {\widehat{sl_2 }} \right)$ .
