| Abstract: | This Note deals with reaction–diffusion equations in periodic media arising in the modelling of persistence and invasions of biological species. We investigate the influence of the distribution of heterogeneities on the existence and uniqueness of nonzero stationary states and on the existence of invading pulsating travelling fronts.
