| Abstract: | The condensation of p-benzoquinone with substituted N-benzyl-β-aminocrotonic esters has been studied. A series of derivatives of 1-benzyl-5-hydroxyindole containing various substituents in the benzene nucleus of the benzyl radical has been obtained. |
