| Abstract: | 3-Bromofuran has been obtained in good yield by the reaction of 4, 5-dibromo-3, 6-endoxohexahydrophthalic anhydride with quinoline at 210–220° C. It has been shown that the reaction of 3-bromofuran with acetic anhydride in the presence of perchloric acid forms 2-acetyl-3-bromofuran. |
