Abstract: | Reactions of substituted cycloalkylanilines with acenaphthenequinone in a mixture of methanol with methylene chloride afforded a number of the corresponding 1,2-is(cycloalkylarylimino)acenaphthenes. The products may be used as ligands for the synthesis of nickel complexes which are capable of catalyzing olefin polymerization at elevated temperature in the presence of methylaluminoxane. |
