Abstract: | Flow induced phase separation in polymer solutions can be considered taking into account that mechanical motion proceeds in Minkowski space‐time. The spinodal temperature shift increasing with increase of the shear rate is interpreted as a result of relativistic effects. Relativistic phenomena can play the important role in processes of flow, especially when velocity of kinetic units on microscopic or mesoscopic level approaches some limiting velocity. The role of the value of limiting velocity in manifestation of relativistic effects was considered and changes of properties of polymers were discussed. |
