| Abstract: | Since June, 1988, the campaign for Shanghai' S 14 key industrial projects has brought about remarkable social and economiC benefits. It is widely believed that this earn paign is a great success,with its most successful combat in organizing the scientific and technological forces of universities in Shanghai to participate in the local economic construction.Based on widely-ranged investigations,consultancy with experts and references to rebative materials, the authors have collected a great number of data and materials. An objective evaluation has been made of Shanghai Universities' participation in the campaign for 14 pro.jects,together. with a systematic account for the causes of such a success. Finally,an analysis is made of some existing problems and at the same time some feasible proposals are offered. |
