Wavelet method for a class of fractional convection-diffusion equation with variable coefficients

Abstract:A wavelet method to the solution for a class of space–time fractional convection-diffusion equation with variable coefficients is proposed, by which combining Haar wavelet and operational matrix together and dispersing the coefficients efficaciously. The original problem is translated into Sylvester equation and computation became convenient. The numerical example shows that the method is effective.
