| Abstract: | The elastic scattering differential cross section for p-48Ca and p-48Ti at 1 GeV are discussed. Calculations based on self-consistent proton and neutron densities fail to reproduce the experimental data. As shown by simple arguments, the discrepancy may be related to incorrect nuclear surface slopes. |
