| Abstract: | A method is suggested to determine the maximum stress in a region of stress concertration by means of strain gages.Comparing the results from a typical experiment with those obtained from analytical method, it is shown that this method is accurate. This method may also be used if the data are obtained from the photoelasticity, moire or finite element method. |
