Preparation of complexes containing PtC bonds by use of (crown ether)potassium hydroxide

Abstract:	The complexes PtR₂L₂] and PtR(Cl)L₂] containing phosphines (L) and the σ-carbyl ligands R (R  CH₂NO₂, CCPh, CH₂CN, CH₂COPh, CH₂COC₆H₄NO₂-4, CH₂COC₆H₄OMe-2, CH₂COMe) have been prepared from PtCl₂L₂], RH and KOH in the presence of 18-crown-6. Some complexes containing hydroxo-ligands were also formed. Structures have been determined from the ³¹P-{¹H} and ¹H NMR spectra.
