| Abstract: | Condensations of 2,2,2-trifluorodiazoethane with pentanal, cyclohexancarboxaldehyde and benzaldehyde have been performed in presence of antimony pentachloride or boron trifiuoride. These reactions lead mainly to homologated aldehydes or ketones α substituted by a trifluoromethyl group. |
