| Abstract: | X-ray diffraction studies on both powdered and single crystal samples of (NF4)2NiF6 have shown that the compound crystallises in a tetragonal form derived from the K2 PtCl6 structure. The space group is I 4/m and the unit cell dimensions are : a = 6.828 (5) Å, c = 9.270 (9) Å, c/a = 1.358, and Z = 2. |
