Abstract: | End-pumped and multi-point pumped Yb3+-doped gain guided and index antiguided (GG+IAG) fiber laser are analyzed by solving the rate equations and 3-D thermal conduction equations. Simulation results show that the multi-point pumped scheme can provide lower operating temperature and better temperature uniformity. Meanwhile, fabrication complexity, loss resulted from pump point should be taken into consideration in the practical design. |
